Well hello there! I’m Nicola, a South Londoner with a passion for drawing, painting and printing. I’m an artist, author and illustrator that enjoys creating illustrations full of warmth, humour and narrative.
Working in my studio (AKA the kitchen table), My idea of a perfect project would be a picture book that mixes character design and storytelling with an opportunity to add tiny details for little readers to seek out and enjoy. I love creating illustrations that mix fluid, sketchy line work with softer textures.
I’ve worked in the publishing industry for over 20 years in Production and Operational Roles and have a huge amount of respect for The collective skills that combine to get a book project off the ground and into the hands of young readers.
I’m a Big fan of tea and biscuits, big earrings, warm socks and hanging out with my family. I’m open to commissions so do get in touch if you have an idea you’d like to discuss!
